This past Wednesday, we went out for lunch and a nice long walk in Old Town Alexandria. It was nearly 70ΒΊ (21C) sunny and with an incredible blue sky--glorious. Found a yummy new Vietnamese cafΓ©, open only 24 days ago. It was pretty much a perfect day. Here are more pics than you can probably stand:
City Hall & Market Square
George Washington's parish church
Washington's pew (if a president attends services, they get to sit there)
I love the pics. Haven’t been there for ages. Open for business, just not today.
ReplyDeleteThat's quite the pulpit and presidential pew!
ReplyDeleteIt was designed by James Wren, an American descendant of Christopher Wren.
DeleteI am not a person who loves churches and what goes on inside of them, but the architecture and design always fascinates me.
