Years ago two women I knew set off on an adventure to Portugal. They rented a car and were creatively or intermittently compliant with the local traffic laws. They kept two small Union Jacks in the car which they waved at other motorists for when they performed traffic blunders, missed their turns, or stayed on the roundabouts too long. Let us be vigilant to avoid errors and misunderstandings, and be kind and so that our good Canadian neighbors are not besmirched with any of our misdeeds while travelling.

I love this. I think you know, when asked, SG always considers telling people we’re Canadian. Now, especially.
ReplyDeleteAboot, Ay, washroom, see I speak Canadian.
ReplyDelete"Washroom" was the term we used in Cleveland when I was growing up.
