This is Teeter, the newest addition to our menagerie. This is prime birthing season for house sheep. Being supremely intelligent creatures, they decided that standard reproductive procedures were just too cumbersome and messy--especially the birthing part. So years ago they outsourced the entire process to China. They found it more economical as well (as I said, supremely intelligent). So every year at this time, the new shipment of progeny arrives from the far east. The little critter's name comes from the place we found him, the venerable southern supermarket chain Harris-Teeter, which had quite lovely stores and good customer service until Krogers bought them out--don't get me started on that evil empire and its shenanigans! Teeter is of course quite cuddly, charming, and a good conversationalist. Cheers!

He's cute and all, but can he be counted on to put a person to sleep?
ReplyDeleteIf he cuddles up to you, you will get very relaxed. That one of the specialties of the house breeds.
DeleteHe’s adorable. Do you already have a Harris?
ReplyDeleteNo, but we decided Harris was a little too serious a name for such a little sweetie-pie.
DeleteHe is so huggable! He and Arnold celebrated last night, they are probably hung over this morning.
ReplyDeleteToo friggin adorable! I was hoping that Teeter had a twin named Totter.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant! The next addition may well be called that.
DeleteWelcome to Teeter! What a cutie. I have a like/hate relationship with Kroger. Our store was updated in the last couple years. It's bigger, has that updated look and layout, but the food quality (especially the vegetables) and customer service has gone downhill.
