Maryland

Last Tuesday, we set out on a little adventure in the neighboring state if Maryland, to pick up a photo David had entered in a show. Just to get to Maryland takes all of about 10 minutes, just on the other side of the Potomac. The photo show was, however, over on the eastern shore of Maryland, in a town called Easton, a bit more than an hour's drive... on a good day. On a bad day, with heavy traffic, untold hours and hours. You see, "the shore" as its called is on the other side of the Chesapeake Bay, across which there is only one set of bridges, spanning approx. 4mi (6.5k). 

To Be Honest...

The purchased posies pictured below are from a ready-made bouquet from Trader Joe's. I thought they looked pretty and was hoping to save some time and trouble. Unfortunately, it turned out that the stems were not trimmed and cleaned, so I did have to do that and then rearrange them in a vase. But I was quite pleased with the result.
