So HamsterFans, it's dig-out day here in the nation's capital. Our conservatory is high enough so as to afford a nice perch to watch the attempts. Apparently there is an ice layer in with the snow, which affords a greater challenge--especially for those who have no idea what they're doing in the first place. Twice we've seen people banging against windshields or car bodies with the blunt end of a snow scraper--likely not a recommended procedure in their owner's manuals. A few cars made it half way out of their parking spaces, only to be abandoned in the attempt. Some poor souls are out there for a second day, with about as much luck.

The plastic sheets made me smile.

DeletePlastic sheets? I’d never heard that before. Ah, people who know not snow!
ReplyDeleteWatching can be quite amusing. It will take a few days for things to start to get back to normal, SNAFU.
ReplyDeleteIt's always fun to have front row seats for a little entertainment!
ReplyDeleteMakes me feel lucky that we did not get that much snow and I park in a garage!! ;)
ReplyDeleteSnow brings out the arsehole in so many drivers.
