Continuing with Our tour...

Our first stop was Juneau. Any modern despot needs to be environmentally conscious (right Kel?) and hence Our first duty was to conduct an aerial inspection of glaciation, alpine rain forest, and, of course, the Imperial Moose Herds. We boarded the Rodentine Arctic Bush Plane and took off by sea.
We landed dramatically in the vicinity of the Imperial Barge.
Then up through the clouds on a tramway...
offering another lovely view of the barge...
to inspect the rain forest.
Glaciers, check. Rain forest, check. Moose, prospering. To be continued...

  1. Keep Sarah away from the moose herd or they will be moose burgers!

  3. Moose are yummy and yes, that was a turbo otter. You can tell by the 4 bladed whiskers and the musky odor of Jet-A.

"I love the smell of jet fuel in the morning, it smells like, some big oil fat cat is getting rich off the leftovers of gasoline distillation" (Ed. note: Jet fuel is basically kerosene, which like diesal fuel, is the left overs from make regular gas.) ((I will now quit hugging the tree stand I'm in to shoot the yummy moose that just walked by.))

  4. Not cold really, but damp. Not really humid either, at least in the sense of the thick air we get in the summer, just damp. Hard to explain, but not at all unpleasant.

  5. I like to think of it as "refreshing".
