Not myrtle; I think it's a kind of ornamental plum. It's one of the first to bloom every year. Of course, it might also be a cherry...

For anyone wondering about the police cars in the corner of the first photo under the bridge, a body washed up along the shore.

Gotta love the spring color and, oddly enough, the underbelly of a bridge!
And it's even a drawbridge, though I've never seen it open. They usually arrange it so that traffic needing it open comes through in the wee hours of the morning. Of course, it's also useful for keeping the Marylanders out.
I have snow on my daffodils this morning but they will bounce back as the sun is coming out. You photos are great!
My daffodils have pushed up about 1" from the ground, still several weeks before the last frost here :/
